Rapprochement in Orange and Blue

I used to enjoy political discussion and debate. But now it seems there is no one willing to listen or compromise.  How does that work in color?  Two opposites on the color wheel: blue and orange.  What intermediaries do they employ? How do they come together on the canvas?
